Knetworkmanager does'nt work

Hi
Like for kinternet in other post, knetworkmanager is running (list of
task) but when i launch knetwormanager nothing append, no icon in task
bar, no gui on my desktop ?

laptop HPDV4000, drivers ipw2000 for wireless

suse 10.3 last update, Kde4 file system3.93.06 , Knetworkmanager
0.2R67, kde3base 3.5.7.85, kdebase4-runtime 3.93
Kde4network-conf missing ???

I don't know if that's a reason but looking at the installed package
after the update to suse 10.3 i al suprising to see two kde
environement 3.x and 4 with we don't have only one ? 3 ou 4 version ?
is not source of problems ?

Some of the KDE4 apps are included as a preview.
Unless you just want to have a look at them, I would recommend not
installing any of the KDE4 apps from the 10.3 distribution.

I doubt this has any bearing on the knetworkmanager issue.

In YAST2 |Network Devices|Network Card, under Global Options, do you have

"User Controlled with Networkmanager" selected?

You mean you see identical symptoms?
Do you have the System Tray applet running at all?

Yes I have this option. I have try controled by ifup by it is the same

Yes i have the same symptom.

what do you mean by system tray applet running ?

If i go to the task bar menu and add applet i have a list (in french)
and i don't see any things like that. so i will try all one after one
.....

Yes in french boite à miniature !!!!

and with that i see a lot of new small icons in the task bar...
Kwifimanager , Keybord config and so on

But i don't undestand why kde did't launch automaticly this one ??
