Hi,
I've got trouble getting my printer to work with openSuSE 10.2. I recently bought a Canon Pixma ip2200, which works fine on my laptop with SuSE 10.0 (proprietary drivers downloaded from the Canon homepage). However, it refuses to print on my PC with openSuSE 10.2. Yast correctly identifies the model and suggests the proprietary .ppd-file, yet when I select "Test", literally nothing happens. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance |

You may try to install the CVS version of gutenprint 5.1 from the project at gutenprint.sf.net. You need to install a number of -devel packages to be able to compile and install it. I have a iP4300 and now I can use it for color printing on plain paper. Haven't tried other options. -- Freek |
