High quality output from GIMP

Hi

I have what I hope is NOT a strange problem. I am running a Novell NetWare
6.5 SP3 network in my office. I have four printers hung from the network.
All four (HP-4050, Samsung CLP-550 (color laser), Epson 2200, and an Epson
7600) work fine with Windowz workstations and also generally work fine in
mono and/or text from Linux SuSE 9.3 (using Novell client).

The 2200 and 7600 specifically print the YAST printer check in color and
with picture. When I try to print from GIMP to the 2200 I get a bunch of
garbage output - like PostScript that lost a bit.

Help, advice please. I am doing "local filtering" at the workstation and
using the "PPD" file that was picked by default. If someone can point me
in the right direction I would appreciate it.
