Default Any solution for Canon IP1500?

I am new user in SUSE LINUX 9.3. Recently I try to install my Canon
IP1500 into it but failed. The printer show no responding at all with the
power switch on.

Is there any solution for this case? Is there any suitable Canon IP1500
printer driver for Linux SUSE 9.3? Thank you.

www.linuxprinting.org doesn;t mention it, which is a bad sign...
A quick google turns up
ftp://download.canon.jp/pub/driver/bj/linux/
There might be one there, but I haven't looked...

There's a Linux driver download at the bottom of the page. It says its
for SuSE 9.1 so it might work.
