Suse10.3 kinternet smpppd

After the 10.3 installation is no ISDN connection (ISDN card) possible
(9.3 was working well!).
Independent the "closed" driver from the vendor or the open software - the
kinternet icon is showing "grey" because the smpppd daemon is not running.
After start by hand kinternet is connection - but no connection (ifconfig)
is possible.
A lot of people are reporting this problem in the internet, it seems
something is wrong. Is the problem known, when a update will be available?

which hardware exactly? Are we talking about the Network Manager applet? Did you configure the ISDN device through Yast? Can you run it manually?
Note you can participate in bugzilla.novell.com; I haven't got enough info yet for a successful search, but you do :-)
