Default problem routing between 2 nic

Hi there,

the following problem seems quite common, but none of the google hits
provided a solution.

I have a linux box with suse9.3 with two nics (192.168.3.4) and
192.168.9.1). This box is in subnet with the default gw 192.168.3.1, and
serves a sub-subnet with the address range 192.168.9.0. The box acting as a
router

I can connect from this box to (and through) the default 192.168.3.1
gateway, and I can ping to the first machine in the subsubnet
(192.168.9.2). I can also ping from 192.168.9.2 to 192.168.9.1 and
192.168.3.4, but I am unable to connect from 192.168.9.2 to say
192.168.3.2. I.e., there seems to be a very fundamental error in my routing
setup.

My routing table looks like this

Any pointers appriciated
