Hi,
I am a new user to this group. Recently I installed SUSE10.1 linux in my PC and it has a modem. I configured the modem using YAST command. Now how do I dial this modem ? My requirement is 1) set up a ppp connection and use Linux box as a server. 2) Connect a dial up modem to Linux and a windows PC. 3) Now I would like to establish a connection between Linux PC and windows PC through the dial up connectivity. If you have any idea how to do the above task please reply me back. Thanks in advance vaninadh. |

By the side of PC, must be Windows 2000, XP or Win2003 server. The pc
should have a modem too and a line connect to. Enable the "Acept Incoming calls" and be sure of permit some Windows user to connect to. By the side of Linux -sorry no expertise with dialup connection- must be a call to connect by using the telephone number of the remote PC host, using same user+passwd in the ppp connection (same user+passwd PC enabled). vaninadh escribió: > Hi, > I am a new user to this group.
