Hi,
I have here a PC with Intel SE7230NH1-E board inside. This board has two 1GB NIC built in. After Installation of Suse 10.2 they two are configured as eth0 and eth1. The PC (acting as file server) will be connected to a 3Com 3CR17491-91 SS3 Switch 3870. My question now: I want to combine the eth0 and eth1 so that both interfaces bundle the traffic. Some google search and newsgroup searches I found this called as port truncing or bondling etc. But I never found a complete "roadmap" how to do this within Suse 10.2. Can anyone please either tell me a link to a HowTo or just write me a description, what I have to do to get this? Do I need a special driver for this? The NICs are described as: Intel 82573V Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper), Unique= rBUF.ZhPWCzcIReF, _nm_name= bus-pci-0000:03:00.0 (eth0) Intel 8254 1GI/PI Gigabit Ethernet Controller, Unique= JNKJ.k0950Eitqu9, _nm_name= bus-pci-0000:04:05.0 (eth1) Thank you. Try this:
http://support.novell.com/techcenter...ing_setup.html and read the kernel documentation: /usr/src/linux/Documentation/networking/bonding.txt |

You can also follow the handy article on http://support.novell.com/techcenter...ing_setup.html Regards, Jan |
