Hi,
Running SUSE 10.2 accessing Netware 4.1 over ncpmount. I loaded Dosemu to run some old DOS programs on my server -- primarily Foxpro 2.0 LAN. I am having record locking issues. Opening the same records on 2 separate wordstations, both return a rlock() = .t. which is impossible. Can't use the program because data loss would be the inevitable result. I know that recent revisions to the Kernel for Visual Foxpro have solved the file locking problems. Does anyone know if this was incorporated into the SUSE 10.2 Kernel? I have Kernal -2.6.18-8-0.1 (I believe). Any suggestions as to getting the record locks to function properly under Linux? This is a "mission critical" application. Also, an unrelated but equally perplexing question. None of the command line utilities in NW 4.1 or NW 5.0 work under ncpmount. I am mounting my servers using IPX so I cannot use the Novell client. Any suggestions? Thanks Alan |
