I just installed suse 10.1 on my laptop and I can't get it to connect to my
wireless. i checked the firmware and it was up to date. everything seems fine when i try to configure it through yast but it wont connect to the network. a dialog keeps popping up asking for my WEP key, but the key does nothing. everytime i try and connect the activation window opens up, gets to the ip config stage and then just stops. any ideas? |

I had the same problem with SuSE 10.0. I tried using ndiswrapper but
couldn't figure that out at all. Finally wiped and installed OpenSuSE 10.2 and it works fine (so far...). |

(Dell M70 with Intel 2200BG) Occasionally, the module doesn't load right... so I simply rcnetwork stop;modprobe -r ipw2200;modprobe ipw2200;rcnetwork start I don't use NetworkManager (because it's primitive and makes WAY too many assumptions). |

Is there an easy way to switch between wireless networks without
reconfiguring the interface each time? |
