Saving to network folder

Hi,

I have tried to save documents (from Open Office)to a smb network folder,
and I get the message: Saving to smb folder not supported.

Is it something wrong with my setup, or isn't saving to network folders
possible?

10.1 should work. Is that the exact error message you receive? "Saving to smb folder not supported."?

Yes, I think it maybe has something to do with my setup of samba. I have
also a problem printing to printer connected to a Windows box. The samba
shares can be mounted and accessed though.

That clears it up, Ooo really can't do this. It should work if the SMB share is mounted into your local filesystem.
