hi there I having some problems with wireless card and router..
the problem seems to be knetworkmanager I have two router that I can see but knetwork manager but it only logs onto the one of them and fails on the other one. but the wireless card logs on to the 'troubled" router with out problems automatically at startup ( simply specified access point logon at startup - found in the network device setting when you set up ndiswrapper and and dhcp ) but any ways I can not browse the internet until I run in command line dhcpcd wlan1 then I am capable of browsing.. even though it all seems properly configured kwifi says it is connected and lists the ips -- network interface monitor list it properly .. but no browsing until I run dhcpcd . but network manager list it as unconnected. if I press connect it fails after 28%. but if I press the connect to the other router it connects to that one with out problem and from then on forces me to connect to that router only.. ( i have to delete all the network manager setting for that user to be able to logon to the other router again... and restart the computer to logon again to that other router or restart my network manually. i created a menu icon connected to a shell script ( that contains dhcpcd wlan1) that needs to be run as root user which was a easy work around and also a bit of added security so my kids can not logon to the internet with out my permission (which is nice) but I also like things to work how there suppose to.. would any one know what might be wrong here and how to fix it... |
