Default Novell Client

Hi,

I want to install novell client and ConsoleOne. I can install all .rpms
fine but the novfs cannot compile. So I cannot login to any tree.

What can I do ?
Thanks

Also, please verify that you are using the 1.2 client and not the 1.1. The
latest 1.2 client is out on beta.novell.com

Thanks a lot. I was using the official one which includes version 1.1.
Version 1.2 is way better during the installation process and works at
the first time.

Now I get this message :
"The system could not log you into the network.
Make sure that the name and connection information are correct, then type
your password again."

But i guess this is my problem now
Thanks

The 1.2 version was built for SUSE Linux 10.1 and SLED 10. The 1.1 versions
were built for SUSE Linux 10.0 and NLD 9

Well, double check both values :-)
Also make sure that the client can resolve the tree. If in doubt use the IP address of a server with a replica for the "Tree".
