When I try to connect to a SuSE 10.1 box on my home network with xgl and
compiz running, the krdc client on my non-xgl desktop reports that no X server is running on the xgl box. How can I connect the two? It might help if I mention that ssh +X also fails. It reports that ^c requires an option. (I forget the exact statement and I am at work on a XP machine) |

You can always set up a second non-3d desktop in GDM/KDM and connect to that however. -- Justin Grote Novell Support Connection Sysop Network Architect JWG Networks |

Thanks for the reply. Your response makes perfect sense. I just needed
validation that I am not going crazy on this one. krdc can open a vnc to host:1 but not host:0 I think this is what you mean by setting up the non-3d desktop.
