I upgraded my kernel on Suse 9.3 to 2.6.11.4-21.12-default. After the
reboot, I am no longer to mount things via mount -t smbfs or mount -t cifs. I get a message that states that the filesystem is not supported. A cat /proc/filesystems reveals a list that does not contain smbfs or cifs. Did Novell drop support support for cifs and smbfs? I saw a novell press release somewhere that gave me that impression, but I don't have the url for it. If support for these two method of mounting windows filesystems has been dropped, is there a way to work around this with a new command or mount method? Thanks, Vaughn Reid III Indiana, USA |
