Default Network disconnect

I upgraded to SuSE 10.1 from 9.3. My LAN connection is now inoperative. I
can't ping any of the other computers on the LAN and they can't ping this
one. YAST2 offers no clues to this. Since the upgraded machine worked
perfectly just before the upgrade I assume it's a configuration problem.
What are my options?
