novell client install fails

Tried to install Novell client 1.1 for Suse Linux v 10 on a new install
of Suse 10.1. It fails on several dependencies - libbfd, novell-xtier
and libexpat. There are others as well.

Any ideas?

did you add the install source to yast and install the Novell client
package from selections? I tried instaling the RPM and got multiple dep
errors.

I am still having a problem with the install after adding it to the install
source. it is looking for

libbfd-2.15.90.0.1.1.so not available
Required by:
novell-xtier-base requires libbfd-2.15.90.0.1.1.so

I do not know how to resolve this problem and would welcome any suggestions.

Downloaded the beta client and tried to install it. Similar results.
libexpat and libpam dependency errors.

Any other ideas?

Did you add an online installation source? The CDs/DVD don't contain all necessary stuff.

Are you trying to install it using YASt or through the command line?

No - no idea how to do that or that it was necessary. Can you give some
direction on how that might be done?

Launch Yast, Installation Source, add a mirror like
http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/op...1/inst-source/
