Default /etc/resolv.conf reset

Just installed opensuse 10.1 64 bit on an new hp paviliion laptop
It looks like the Network Manager is resetting the contents of /etc/resolv.conf
I go to Yast -> Network Services -> DNS and Host Name
I set the name servers and domain names
resolv.conf looks like:

nameserver 11.22.333.444
nameserver 55.66.777.888
nameserver 99.000.111.222
search myisp.com myotherisp.com

I restart the machine, and resolv.conf contains nothing

What gives?

in Yast, System, /etc/sysconfig editor:
Network
Hardware
Config

try and set
MODIFY_RESOLV_CONF_DYNAMICALLY to "no"

Does this help?

I have the same issue, and tried your solution, but it did not fix the
problem. There were a couple of keys that are similar to the one you
referred to, I switched them all off, when they pertained to automatically
updating DNS entries. Still need to re-enter namervers evry reboot.

What are the rights and file ownerships? Should look like

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 121 2006-06-06 05:40 resolv.conf
