Default Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Networking

Hi,

In SuSE Linux 10.0, my Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Card is detected and
configured, but the card is disabled. My laptop came with Windows
programs to monitor a hardware switch, but not available on Linux.

Is there a way to enable the card in any other way (without using
hardware switch, as I have no Linux software for it)?

Thanks in advance,
Ben

Not exactly sure what you mean. For example on an HP 6230, there
is a Fn key sequence to enable the blue tooth and wireless.

What model of laptop is it? That might provide the information
that people need to answer the question better.

Tony Fay:
I have the same problem on my 2002 IBM Thinkpad T30 with an Intel Pro
Wireless Board (Pentium M)(Wireless B). It's an older wireless, before G
and when Intel Centrino was called Pentium M.

Do you have an /etc/modprobe.d/ipw2200 file?
