Default Setting up Suse Network

I'm looking for a straight-forward, complete guide to setting up a network
under NFS on my home system.

I have two desktops running SuSE 9.3, and a laptop running 10.0. All are
connected via a Linksys router to a cable modem. The router is handling
dhcp. Each has Internet access.

I'd like to be able to read/write files on either desktop from the laptop
and vice versa.

I think this means I need to have NFS Server and NFS client running on each
machine. I've tried to do this, but it has not worked.

Is there something else I need to install or turn on? Firewalls are on, but
the check box for open ports is turned on.

I don't understand all the options I have to fill out on the NFS Server and
Client installs, is there an example somewhere I can look at?

Thanks, Bob.
