Default Creating a local update mirror

Is there an easy way to create a local update mirror?
I'll only need the 32bit x86 stuff to start out with.
If I am to deploy any number of machines in a corporate
environment I'm going to need a local update mirror, doing regular
updates via the internet is okay, but does not scale well over a
low bandwidth connection.

Simply place an rsync-script into your cron.daily directory and sync
e.g. with ftp.gwdg.de or another update server offering rsync.

Do not forget to exclude ppc and x86_64, if you don't need them to
save bandwidth.

I have a set of shell-scripts for this... would have sent it by mail,
but your email G@ofBorg.com doesn't work... Faked email with a valid
domain name? Tztztztz...

Guess I'll have to change that..: )

I do find it odd that whatever fake email address I come up with,
which initially does not resolve, evenutally gets used... <sigh>
back to the drawing board. Try sending it to bertsaxby@nospam.yahoo.com.
Remove the nospam.

If you want people to reply to your questions, you have to make it easy
for them

Create an identity/alias called e.g. news and use this to post to Usenet,
i.e. your postings will be From: news@your.domain.com.

Put your *valid* e-mail address in the Reply To: field. It is extremely
rare for spammers to harvest Reply To: addresses.

Set up a filter/rule to divert all incoming mail to the trash can, or
delete it at your ISP.
