I just installed suse10 on a Dell Inspiron 8500 notebook. The wireless card
is the intergrated Dell Truemobile 1300. I have read that this runs off of a Broadcom 4306 chip. I am using the latest ndiswrapper package off of yast, and I get this string of errors off of the console: linux:~ # ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5.inf Installing bcmw15 Forcing parameter IBSSGMODE|0 to IBSSGMode|2 <<this repeats 22 times>> linux:~ # ndiswrapper -l bcmwl5 invalid driver! that error is copied as best as I can tell from the font displayed in the console -- particularly the "|" before 0 and 2. that same driver came out of two dell different driver packages: R115321.exe and R76521na.exe, I tried finding broadcom original drivers, but I everywhere that I tried getting them from wanted me to sign up for accounts, and all kinds of other madness. Has anyone ever seen this, and might know of a solution? If anyone would like to help me and needs any additional information, just reply with what you need or email me at climberjc@gmail.com. Thanks, Jere |

Hey, I appreciate the help from both of you! I tried the file at the link
posted above, and it worked beautifully. Thanks again! -Jere > climberjc@gmail.com wrote: > > > I just installed suse10 on a Dell Inspiron 8500 notebook.
