Default SuSE Linux Pro 9.2: how to fax w/ USR 56k serial message modem?

Running SuSE 9.2 and Win98SE on dual-boot P4 2Gh box w/ 512 MB RAM.
Have no fax machine and do not intend to purchase one - using WinFaxPro 10
on Win side.
Now, with StarOffice up and working properly, I'm moving to Linux
altogether. Problem: can I use my serial USR 56K msg modem (properly
recognised by SuSE 9.2) as a fax device and if so, how do I go about it?
Thanks for any good advice.

Have a look at hylafax ( I think that is the one that most people use )
