I'm a linux newbie and have just installed SuSe 10 on my Dell laptop. It
has found the winmodem and displays it in Yast. However when ever i try to connect to the internet nothing happens. I have put in the details of my ISP but do i have to input modem initialization strings? Currently these are blank. If I do, where can i find the appropraite strings to put in. Thanks Diarmuid |

Are you sure you have all the settings correct in YaST? To do some testing, you can install 'minicom' or 'seyon' and see if the modem is responding. -- Kevin Nathan (Arizona, USA) Novell Support Forums Volunteer SysOp Linux is not a destination, it's a journey -- enjoy the trip!
