Default Novell network

I am running SuSE Linux 10. on a novell network.
My goal is to get off of Microsoft and only run it in VMware.
Do I need to install a client on my desktop to get my drive mappings??
I know I can map them but if we are talking about doing away with windows
how do I go about getting my network resources when the are supplied to
me on the server side? I would also like to get groupwise running but I
need to get mapped to a novell network drive for it to work. Please advise...

Hi Johnny

I know there is a Linux client that can map drives etc. Not sure if the
latest can be used with SUSE or needs the Novell Linux Desktop 9.
The older 1.0 client appears to run on SUSE 9 (so assume 10 as well) - going
to try these out myself later this week as it's something I've been meaning
to do for a bit.

Have a read at the doc:

Neil gave you the URL to the Coolsolutions article on the Netware client.
Groupwise 6.5 and 7.0 do work on SuSE 10, but not in direct access mode.
Your PO needs to allow C/S mode (which is better anyway). Questions
regarding Groupwise on Linux should go to the Groupwise client forums.
