Hello,
I recently installed SuSE 10 running kernel 2.6.13-15.7. I have a Linksys wireless PCMCIA card which I have installed using the ndiswrapper. I have succesfully been able to use this card on my home network. However, when I take my laptop to my workplace, I am unable to connect to their wireless network. The network there requires no authentication. If I do #iwlist wlan0 scan the output indicates that the card has detected the access point (ap1). When I try doing #iwconfig wlan0 essid ap1 nothing occurs -- wlan0 (using ifstatus wlan0) still reports that it hasn't connected to the network. Using various GUI tools I have no better luck trying to make a connection to the access point. What is going on? How can I fix this? Thanks |
