Hi to all! Speaking with my dad he gave an idea that if will turn out to be
true would sound incredible...my motherboard is the Aopen one with the Tube sound, a thermoionic valve which is very close to the nic cards. All the behaviour makes think that this is the random external agent that prevents the nic to be brought up in the correct way. And this would explain why after a while the nic works properly: the valve when warming up crosses diff frequencies and a particular range could influence the nics. Im doing tests and if so guys i think u can jump on your chairs for this! |

Hi Mark and to all You guys!
Seems was that. Sound can be managed throught usual ac97 stuff so for the operating system everything is ok. I tried to reboot and the nic goes up, if i switch off the comp seems to still have some problems but im coming out from all of that. Possibile that Windows instead forces more the nic and avoids all of this? Anyway i dont mind much about it now. ![]() Anyway for give a feedback the sk98lin module for the 3Com Gigabit nic really rocks under Suse and Mandriva, it's stable and reliable. This for answer to the possibile worries about the gigabit nics. Ill keep you posted about any news ill have! ![]() Ric |
