After loading SuSE 10.0, I performed an online update. After rebooting,
I could no longer connect to the Internet. However, I finally figured out the problem. SOLUTION ======== Below are the menu selections found in the KDE GUI (GNOME may be different) K Menu --> System --> Congiguration --> Control Center(YaST) --> (YaST asks for the root level password) Network Devices --> Network Card a) Highlight your network card in the list (mine was "3Com 3C509B Etherlink III DHCP") b) select the EDIT button c) select the ROUTING button in the "Detailed Settings" section. d) Enter your Default Gateway address (mine was 192.168.0.1) e) select the OK button f) select the NEXT button g) select the NEXT button You should now be able to access the Internet. |
