Hey,
I'm running suse 10 and I've installed the NCL according to this link: http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/16101.html All works fine. I can start the client, browse the eDir, select context and server but I cannot authenticate... same with every useer I try with. Works just fine from a xp-client. I've struggled with this problem for a couple of weeks now and it starts to drive me crazy. I'm doublechecking, yes even tripplechecking that I spell the username/passwd/context/tree/server correct but I get this "Unable to authenticate, please check your connection information and try again" message over and over again. I get the very same error when I try to log into our grpwise with evolution (same server), so it seems as my linuxinstallation is unable to authenticate to the eDir for some reason...? Any suggestion is greatly appriciated! Thanks Peter |

Maybe you'll find better help in the OES Linux Client forum. Uwe -- Novell Support Connection Volunteer SysOp Please don't send me support related e-mail unless I ask you to do so. |

The problem has been solved actually, thanks.
It was the NMAS, I just had to restart the server after I unchecked the box. Havent restarted it before but when I tried everything worked! Thanks for the help! //Peter > peter@my.email.com wrote in > news:sYcof.11169$ME5.4067@prv-forum2.provo.novell.com: > > > Thanks for the reply, but It's the same thing with or without NMAS > > :/... It's being stupid enough to read the old fashion way: Books from page 1 to the end and questions before answers. How does one answer before reading the question first? I also watch the movies in chronological order. Pulp Fiction is an exeption, though ![]() -- Vahis |
