hi,
yesterday i installed suse 10. everything fine - except networking. it's no problem to access the wap (dhcp works perfect), but it takes about ~ 2 min for a page to load (although a ping to the page is no problem, response < 3 ms). can it be a dns-problem (although resolving is in a terminal no problem)??? realy URGENT! thx. |

Hi Juergen, DNS could be the problem. You may try to disable IPv6. Try this advice: http://portal.suse.de/sdb/en/2003/10...illa_ipv6.html The one that you need is for 9.1, but I have feeling that the change should look like this: alias net-pf-10 ipv6 to #alias net-pf-10 ipv6 install ipv6 /bin/true This will comment out alias line, and install nothing without errors. See man page for command true ![]() -- Regards, Rajko. |

There is some spartan comment in appropriate files next to variable and that is all. Some of them are sufficient, some not. -- Regards, Rajko. |

I had the same problem until I used different nameservers. Now dns resolution is very fast. give it a try. |
