Default ncpfs

Anybody using this? I am trying to use it to mount Netware 6 SP5
volumes. The mount itself works fine initially but after about 30
minutes or so if I don't do anything with the mounted volume and then go
back, I get this error:

/bin/ls: reading directory .: Input/output error

I tried using ifdown and ifup to reset the network connection but the
only thing that seems to fix it is if I reboot. I tried using ncpumount
but it says that I don't have any active connections. If I try to
remount the volume using ncpmount, it tells me that the volumes is
already mounted.

Thanks,

Brad

It seems that if I use the -m switch with ncpmount I can remount the
volume without rebooting.

Anybody know why this connection drops and if using the Novell client
for linux would make a difference?

Yea, use the client..I used ncpfs and I got the same
results..ncpfs..works after a fashion..but it times out and I can't seem
to get connections to remain active. The client seems to work just fine,
but it has its own set of issues when you do kernel updates..it can be a
pain to get it working after an upgrade...so pick your poison

Thanks. Do they have a 64bit version yet of the client?

Sorry, not yet. (And please don't take that as a statement that one is
definitely coming :-)
