Hi, I am setting up a SLES 9 box and I am new to LDAP. I will only have
one server. I plan on using SAMBA to set up my network shares, and keep the user database in an LDAP directory. I will be configuring SAMBA as a PDC for WinXP clients to connect to. With the above setup in mind, I am confused about some of the settings you can set in YAST for the LDAP client. Those settings are, 1. File Server 2. Allow Login of LDAP Users 3. Start Automator 4. Group Member Attribute The first three settings are checkboxes, while Group Member Attribute can be 'member' or 'unique member.' I am not sure what I should set the above settings to in order to get LDAP and SAMBA working together correctly. If anyone could help me out and explain how these LDAP settings work with SAMBA I would be very appreciative. Thanks. |
