Hi, I installed the FTPd server and the service is installed, but I get a connection refused error when trying to connect to the ftp server. The platform is Suse Pro 9.3. I confirmed through Yast that the ftp server is installed and the service is running. Can someone help me pinpoint what is wrong? Thanks, Bruce |

I'm having the same prob as well. I then tried to run vsftpd and I get a
message saying it cannot bind to the ipv4 socket. Thought I'd come onto the forum to search for the answer and here is Bruce with the exact same problem. I'm not alone in this personal hell. > > > > Hi, > > I installed the FTPd server and the service is installed, but I get a > > connection refused error when trying to connect to the ftp server. I've done this and now I'm getting anonymous connectivity with ftp. Seems that vsftpd.conf has to be in its own directory, /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf Hope this helps. Noobs helping Noobs, nice |
