Default OpenOffice file icons in Konqueror

Has anyone else noticed that the icons used to represent OpenOffice
documents as displayed in a Konqueror folder window are plain white
squares! Why don't they look colorful (and distinctive) like the ones in
the Windows version of OpenOffice?

I have openSUSE 10.2 installed on two different PCs, and they looks the same
on both machines. So it makes me wonder is this is by design (which is
hard to believe). Is there anyway to change this?

I put OO 2.2 and they do look somewhat... anemic? If anyone has a decent
set of icons that my tired old eyes can differentiate at glance, please
feel free to post them.

I posted a question about this on the OO forum, and someone did post some
other icons. How do I actually install these though?

When all else fails, get a bigger hammer <g>. Open the properties for the
icon displayed, then simply replace it with the one you want by clicking on
the current icon and select the one you want from the ensuing dialog. It's
sometimes tedious to find the one you want (Now where did I put that
thing???) and the format must be appropriate but it's that simple.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.
