when I try to execute a command that requires root privileges and I'm
prompted to the root password, kdesu reports "incorrect password", even though I'm sure the password is correct. su - in a terminal windows works fine. I've encountered this problem in the last month or so..probably after an update. I've been running suse 10.0 for awhile and never had this issue. The bug reported for openSUSE 10.2 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223719 is a good description of the problem I'm having, however, the solution listed doesn't seem to help, esp, since I don't think there's a yast2-sudo module for 10.0 |

* Dusko,
check the suoders file anyway, some apps add weird linebreaks and damage it (smb4k does, for example). Remove the line breaks and try again. Uwe -- Novell Support Connection Volunteer SysOp Please don't send me support related e-mail unless I ask you to do so. |
