Hello,
I had been annoyed with the fact that Kmail doesn't get mail, although there is a connection established; sometimes Kmail recognizes the connection and fetches mail, other times not. Most strange, is when I log out (end session) and login again, Kmail recognizes the connection and gets mail. Is it some command that is executed at login (like .profile) that makes Kmail work correctly? Best regards, António ---------- HP Pavillion dv5000 AMD Turion 64 1GB RAM PCMCIA GSM/UMTS card |

Can you browse the Internet when Kmail can't retrieve emails? Do you start KMail manually or automatically with KDE? Please open Konsole, from File menu select New Root Shell, give root password, and run command: ifconfig Copy output in your post. It will show status of your connection. -- Regards, Rajko. http://en.opensuse.org/Portal |
