Hi,
After upgrading to the current KDE (3.5.4 rel 71.1 using smart) each time KDE starts, the whole mixer appears on screen (it did not before). (KMix 2.6) This happens in 2 different computers. Any ideas about how to stop this? Thanks -G- |

Not sure, bit I think it was the previous 3.5.4 release it started happening with. Just updated KDE again via Zen Updater today but not rebooted yet. I'm running SUSE 10.1 x86_64. |

G,
if you quit the mixer, does it really quit or dock into the panel? Uwe -- Novell Support Connection Volunteer SysOp Please don't send me support related e-mail unless I ask you to do so. |

Hi Uwe, If I press the "close" button at the right of the title bar of the mixer window, the little icon of the blue loudspeaker remains docked on the right hand side of the panel(just next to the clipboard icon). Even if I "quit" it (and the icon disappears), it appears again the next time I log in into KDE. It is not a big problem, it is just that if there is a solution, I would like to stop it doing so. I can always wait until 10.2 :-) Cheers, -G- |

Click on Settings in the menu and choose Configure kMix. Unclick Enable system tray volume control. Make sure Restore volumes on login are checked. -- Later, Darrell Stec darstec@neo.rr.com Webpage Sorcery http://webpagesorcery.com We Put the Magic in Your Webpages |

By default it is "On login: Restore previous session" Sounds like yours is set to "Restore manually saved session" Uwe -- Novell Support Connection Volunteer SysOp Please don't send me support related e-mail unless I ask you to do so. |

-G-,
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=204751 I encountered the same problem just today after updating KDE, so it is not fixed for Suse 10.1 Uwe -- Novell Support Connection Volunteer SysOp Please don't send me support related e-mail unless I ask you to do so. |

Make sure Restore volumes on login are checked. This does not do prevent the mixer to be maximised, only not to allow the tray volume control. I am sure it will be sorted in a near upgrade. Thanks anyway, -G- |
