screen adjustment

hello,

Everytime I start SUSE up my monitor needs screen size and
placement adjusted. I cant find the pop up with the arrow
adjustment for moving the screen. I have to use my monitor
adjustment each time i reboot. Help files are not helping.
Also, is the firewall that is built in any good?
Do I need another? What about antivirus?
HELP! I hate windows and don't want to go back but I
am lost. I cant even get updates to work!
