1) I installed the ati 9800 se drivers and the system found the card. How
do I get the system to use those drivers? 2) I downloaded WINE for suse 10.1. When I click on "Install Package using Yast" The system procedes to install the package on the cd-rom. 3) I click on Online update. It says that I have "X" number of packages to install. I click on continue then the screen goes away. I tryed it a couple of times. After about the 4th or 5th try it downloaded them and installed them. I restart my computer then checked the online updates and the same packages are there to install. I click on continue then the screen closes. Thanks for your time. |

I have two processors on my board, the SMP kernal installed. When I open My Computer it only shows one. Is that a problem? |

Now click on "Add" and sekect "Specify URL", enter this: http://download.opensuse.org/distrib...1/inst-source/ And click OK, when that's done, do the same for: http://download.opensuse.org/distrib...s-inst-source/ When you're looking at the list of sources, click on Finish, and then go into Software Management, search for "wine" (Without the quotes of course), right click on it and select install and click on Accept, and you're done. > 3) I click on Online update. If you have a program installed that there is a patch for, it should be marked automatically and installed when you click on "Accept", and when it's installed it will still show up as a patch, but it won't be marked for installation. > One more thing. All pretty pathetic really. -- http://www.mailtrap.org.uk/ |

Sorry, but you are talking complete rubbish here. I /do/ have the applications installed, the updates /are/ ticked and it /still/ fails. -- http://www.mailtrap.org.uk/ |

Open a console, become root with "su" and type rug ua -r yourusername then type +superuser and hit Enter twice. Now start the zen-updater applet again. Can you update now? The system has tagged the card at secondary. How do I get the system to use the drivers as primary? |
