I just upgraded to 10 and cannot get twinhead monitors on 1 videocard to
work. I used to have the option of adding the second channel as a new video card, but I cant find / forgot where to do this. Any pointers will help. |

Under 9.3 I had to add the 2nd channel as a new video card but cannot find that as an option now. |

Tinkerbele, What graphics card? With the Nvidia driver you use Yast>Hardware>Graphics card & Monitor, and if you click on the button for the card you will see a load of "Options" which your driver will allow, here right at the bottom is the twinview setting which I presume will then allow for the second monitor to be configured. You could try Yanc: http://www.ygriega.de/index.php?id=2&detail=1 Uwe -- Novell Support Connection Volunteer SysOp Please don't send me support related e-mail unless I ask you to do so. |

In the meantime I have been delving around in backup files and found the XF86Config and Xorg.conf from the 9.3 install and both displays now work, even Sax2 can display the details. I'm not sure if it is safe to use these files or if I should fire up Sax2 and save the config as the version numbers are different. |

Unless the hardware has changed then an older xorg.conf will work fine. If it ain`t broke... ;-) -- Mark Twixt hill and high water N. Wales, UK Novell Support Forums SysOp |

How cool is that! <G> The files should work safely as long as the hardware is identical, the worst thing could be that the X server crashes.
