Default Unlocking Failed message

Hello,

I am running KDE 3.4 on SuSE 9.3. I leave the computer for a few hours, and
when I come back, KDM has locked the session. No matter how many times I
correctly enter the correct password, it WILL NOT unlock. I have to open
another session. Why could this be?

Thanks.
Jason.

I seem to remember that there was an issue with that. Did you apply all the
YOU patches?

Sorry about that. Yes, I have used Yast Online Update and updated
everything it suggested to. Still the same problem. Is the solution just
not to use KDM, or can I configure it not to automatically lock the session?

Yes, that's possible AFAIK. Just uncheck the locking option the the desktop
properties. Uhm, is the setuid bit set on /opt/kde3/bin/checkpass???
