Default tooltips

I have KDE 3.49.1 on SuSE 10.0 RC1 and i turned tooltips off on the panel
(Show tooltips and Enable icon mousover effects). Enable m.e. stop working
but tooltips show still. Is it possible to turn it off, please?

Thanks,

Mitja

Hi Mitja,

I had not looked at this before you mentioned it, I have gone to Control
Centre>Desktop>Panels and tried changing the settings there for
tooltips, I have 2 bars running the "Main bar" and a smaller one at the
top of my screen, if I juggle the tooltips for both then I can disable
them, but the settings have to be a combination, it looks like if one
is enabled then the other has to be disabled or vice versa.

I think that there is a conflict of sorts here because depending on what
each is will depend on if it just toggles, so the same setting does not
work all the time.

At the moment my 2 bars a set for no tooltips but they still show on
mouse over, but if I change one setting to on the tips go away, if both
are set to on then the tips still do not work.

Probably a bug of some sort in the coding.

Just try changing it a couple of times and see if it helps.

HTH
