My Cable modem is plugged into a WAN Router (Motorola WR850G). My Linux PC is plugged into one of the 4 Router RJ45 connectors. Everything works great. Perhaps you do not have a router. Then one thing you may require is a cross over Ethernet cable between your cable modem and your PC. Check with your service provider to be sure. It should connect exactly the same way a connection to a Windows system is made. -- Kenneth W. Zahorec <kzahorec@neo.rr.com> Thunderbird on SuSe Linux Pro v9.2 |
