We have about half our users unable to use it because evolution just crashes. It seems to be something to do with their exchange account. One guy went so far as to move all his mail to local folders and that seemed to fix it for him. Of course that defeats thepurpose of exchange with access to all you email from anywhere now not being possible. If you use imap evolution is fine, but there is then no access to global address lists anymore (except via the connector.) I wonder if Novell are serious about evolution? I suspect not because we all know they bought ximian for red carpet, and the connector is not installed by default. If they don't get the connector working a bit better there is no point is them supporting evolution, with so many other email clients around like thunderbird and kmail. The connector is the only real thing that make it stand out from the rest. yours in disappointment Greg. |

Just subscribe to the evolution devel snapshot. However, remember that it is under development and that you are trying it at your own risk. ![]() |
