YaST is looking for package and media information on CD.
Usually only CD1 has that info, and can be used as source of
installation. CD2 can have backup copy of that info.

Have you tried to use CDs to install something that belongs to CD3 orCD4. Listing of all files starting with CD number is possible to see
in INDEX.gz and ls-lR.gz.

Probably better chance to find answer is in forum:
novell.support.suse.linux.enterprise-server, but above should be the
same (guess).
