If yes, KDE is window manager like icewm, and it doesn't handle icewmsettings. You have to log in icewm (ice window manger) to see there. Do you have login screen on start? If yes press Alt-T, and it will show you choices of window managers. Select icewm, enter user name and password and click on login. If not, you have to enable login first in KDE Control Center --> System Administration --> Login Manager -- Greetings, Rajko |

Yes, KDE can use icewm themes, at least through SUSE 9.2. It's in theKDE Control Center -> Appearance & Themes -> Window Decorations (and then in the first drop-down box) and I've used it many times. However, it appears something is missing in his 9.3 and it's not included. I'mnot yet running 9.3 so cannot check it any further . . . -- Kevin Nathan (Arizona, USA) Linux Potpourri and a.o.l.s. Anyway I didn't know that KDE can use icewm themes. I know that is possible to incorporate backgrounds, sounds, screen savers, probably mouse pointers, ie. some components that have commonformat in linux, but themes that's new for me. -- Greetings, Rajko |

He's asked the question earlier, too (maybe another ng), which is why I knew he was asking about applying it in KDE . . . :-) > Anyway I didn't know that KDE can use icewm themes. > I know that is possible to incorporate backgrounds, sounds, screen > savers, probably mouse pointers, ie. some components that have common > format in linux, but themes that's new for me. > Did you look in KDE Control Center -> Appearance & Themes -> Window Decorations (and then in the first drop-down box)? If you scroll through that, you will see 'IceWM' at one point. Select it and see what it does (mostly just window decorations, but isn't that the majority of what themes really are?) . . . -- Kevin Nathan (Arizona, USA) Linux Potpourri and a.o.l.s. KDE can use icewm window decorations. The directions for installing the KDE Acqua theme tell you to install the theme, and then to use the included icewm window decoration. -- Rick |

Above is example of publicly stored draft ![]() Anyway, icewm-default package brings IceWM in login menu. Even after reboot, to make sure that all of /etc/sysconfig was reread. I guess glitch during icewm package configuration. For some IceWM themes is responsible kdeartwork3 package. Acqua theme is pending. -- Greetings, Rajko |

Once you get Acqua going, try super karamba and the tuxbar theme. <VBG> http://netdragon.sourceforge.net/ssuperkaramba.html |
