Just fire up YaST Control Center -> Software -> Install and Remove
Software and then search for the programs you want -- there are quite

few on my 9.2 DVD, I'm sure 9.3 has them, too. (Including x3270)

Thanks for the suggestion.

x3270 doesn't appear to be included in my 5-cd set.
I've discovered that it is only on the DVD.

Added another source repository
http://suse.osuosl.org/suse/i386/9.3/
and installed x3270 from there

You're welcome! Since I have several additional installation sources
(FTP and HTTP) defined in YaST, I should probably check first to see
from where I'm getting the search results! ;-)
