I don't think such a feature exists: resume a closed/finished/broken
session. You have to reinitialize and "handshake". One very good
reason for
that is security.

I seem to remember a thread about this a while back on one of the
alt.os
groups ( could have been alt.os.linux.suse ) I can`t remember if it
was
sorted out but I think kalev is correct.

Try a google groups search to see if you can pick the thread up and
see
what the outcome was.

The original VNC most certainly supports that. Whether the
implementation of
TightVNC on SuSE does is another story, I haven't had a chance to
chase that
down. (I'm the one who wrote the SunOS port of VNC, many many moons
ago.)
