I think there is something definitely "wrong" with either your
hardware
or the Suse installation here ( I know: stating the obvious but the

sound should work fine on that motherboard, I have seen one used as aTivo device just using the onboard sound.

The error you see about PADO is to do with your net connection and
should not as far as I can see cause the whole system to lock up and
die.

Are there any other messages in /var/log/ ( maybe xorg.0.log,
XFree86.0.log, warn, faillog ) or in your .xsession-errors log in your

home dir?
