You could try Utilities>Desktop>Menu Updating Tool, this will scan and

try and find new items to put in the menu.

Does not work 100% but can find some.

Is that a 9.2 addition?
Doesn't appear on 9.1.

So far, I've been lucky and the few things I've added seem to show upok. Do you know, Mark, if this old trick (from about 7.x on) still
works:

kbuildsycoca --noincremental

??

Nah, not a bug just all depends if the package you install can be
added
to the menu

Sometimes Kevin,

I have not really gone into why some apps will be trapped and others
not, I suppose it is down to where they put themselves in the system.
There is something for my "todo when I have time" list, I have been
meaning to look at the "Updating Tool" to figure out exactly what goes

on and why it does not catch all it can.

Thank you

I tried menu updating tool.
It does find some missing stuff. However, if I delete the programs
from
the menu with menu editor, menu-updating-tool will NOT find it again,

even if programs are reinstalled!

Now, how this updating-tool *knows* what I have deleted?! Is that
still
available somewhere in the system?

I guess something here is a little buggy...KDE or SuSE?
