Is that a 9.2 addition? Doesn't appear on 9.1. |

So far, I've been lucky and the few things I've added seem to show upok. Do you know, Mark, if this old trick (from about 7.x on) still works: kbuildsycoca --noincremental ?? -- Kevin Nathan (Arizona, USA) Linux Potpourri and a.o.l.s. There is something for my "todo when I have time" list, I have been meaning to look at the "Updating Tool" to figure out exactly what goes on and why it does not catch all it can. I tried menu updating tool.
It does find some missing stuff. However, if I delete the programs from the menu with menu editor, menu-updating-tool will NOT find it again, even if programs are reinstalled! Now, how this updating-tool *knows* what I have deleted?! Is that still available somewhere in the system? I guess something here is a little buggy...KDE or SuSE? > Kevin Nathan adjusted his/her tin foil beanie and asbestos underwear to > write: > > > On Wed, 23 Mar 2005 22:22:02 GMT > > baskitcaise <baskitcaise@gmx.co.uk> wrote: > > > >> You could try Utilities>Desktop>Menu Updating Tool, this will scan > >> and try and find new items to put in the menu. > >> > >> Does not work 100% but can find some. > > > > So far, I've been lucky and the few things I've added seem to show up > > ok.
